We decided to go with Alice early on after meeting a few other IDs.<br><br>What sets her apart from others is that she asked for more details of what we wanted and the age range of the people staying in the house before proposing a few suggested layout plans based on our input even before the first meeting.<br><br>This alone sets her apart from other IDs where they rush to arrange a meet up as soon as possible and say yes to everything you want.<br><br>Since we were first time home owners, we weren't experienced or familiar with some stuffs, Alice took her time to explain what works and what doesn't. She's also responsive in the group chat and will always reply to our queries.<br><br>For the renovation project, it was managed by Wai Kit. He would answer our questions or checked with the sub con if certain things were possible or not.<br><br>They would also check with us on how we high or low we want the sockets/niches to be while also explaining the pros and cons, etc.<br><br>Thoughout the renovation process, they were both patient and responsive to our questions and were also able to cater to our last minute requests.<br><br>Even after the handover, the after sales support was outstanding. Alice remained responsive in coordinating with the sub cons yo fulfil our additional carpentry requests.<br><br>Overall, we are satisfied and happy with the outcome of our house and would recommend Alice and Wai Kit if anyone else is looking for a home renovation!

Recently completed my home renovation with my ID, Derrick from MyDesign Interiors.<br><br>As a first-time homeowner, the renovation process was completely new to me. Derrick helped with the planning and guided me through many decisions along the way. As someone who prefers a simple and practical approach, I trusted him to oversee most of the project and appreciated his efforts in helping me navigate the renovation journey.<br><br>There were a few hiccups during the renovation process. One incident happened shortly after the renovation started, when the plumber had completed the piping works. I happened to visit the unit the following day and discovered water leaking from the toilet. Fortunately, I went down to check, otherwise the leak could have continued until the workers returned to site. I immediately contacted Derrick, and although I was quite frustrated and worried at that moment, he responded promptly and guided me on the immediate steps to take. The issue was subsequently resolved, which gave me some reassurance.<br><br>The project has not been fully handed over yet as I discovered some defects in the carpentry works. I sent Derrick photos of the issues, and he has been responsive in arranging for rectification.<br><br>One piece of advice I would give to fellow homeowners is to visit the site regularly and carry out your own checks throughout the renovation process. While your ID can help oversee the project, frequent site visits can help identify issues early and prevent bigger problems later on.<br><br>Overall, I had a positive experience with MyDesign Interiors. There are areas where the service can be further improved, particularly in providing homeowners with more regular progress updates and clearer timelines throughout the renovation process. Having proactive updates would help homeowners better understand the project's status and upcoming milestones, rather than having to check in frequently for updates. This would provide greater clarity and peace of mind during the renovation journey.<br><br>Nonetheless, I appreciate the support and assistance provided by Derrick and his team, and I am thankful for helping me turn my new house into a home. Among the many interior design firms available, we chose MyDesign based on strong recommendations from our Korean family friends in Singapore.
